Foundation stone laid for the PalaRaiffeisen

The City of Lugano, together with the sports associations, inaugurated on Monday, with a symbolic laying of the foundation stone, the construction site of the new Sports Hall, which will be called PalaRaiffeisen.
During the event, an innovative 3D model of the project was presented, making it possible to virtually explore the future space and follow its development.
Sports such as basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, fencing, table tennis, judo and rhythmic gymnastics will be practiced in the Palazzetto.
The facility will be equipped with a multifunctional sports hall for sporting events with a capacity of 3,000 spectators and is designed for additional sporting events with a maximum capacity of 4,000 people (1,600 seated, 2,400 standing).

The Palazzetto dello Sport is an important part of the Polo Sportivo e degli Eventi of Lugano. HRS is the project developer and is realizing the site as total contractor.
